Our story begins with timber.

For generations, our family worked in logging —
cutting trees, shaping land, and supplying raw material to the world.
It was a craft rooted in strength, but also in taking.

As the world changed, so did our understanding.

Today, as the third generation,
we carry not only the legacy of timber —
but also the responsibility that comes with it.

MURAN was born from this turning point.

The name itself comes from a simple belief:
wood begins with nature.

“木始于然” —
a quiet reminder that every piece of timber
is first a gift from the natural world.

We no longer see wood as a resource to extract,
but as a material to honor —
formed by time, climate, and place.

Our role is not to dominate it,
but to understand it,
and allow its natural character to shape the space.

Through design, we transform reclaimed and natural timber
into spaces that are calm, grounded, and enduring —
revealing the quiet beauty of Malaysian wood.

This is not just a shift in business.
It is a shift in belief.

From taking,
to giving back.

From building structures,
to shaping meaningful spaces.
